We're enjoying an interesting winter in northwest Montana. The snow comes and goes along with the sunshine and gloom. The contradictory weather isn't great for moods, but it's fantastic for baking and inspiring creativity.
This delicious recipe is from Entertain & Celebrate magazine Easter 2019, pg 121. Not a single thing in this recipe was modified, which is rare in my kitchen, and why I won't be copying the recipe in this post. Almost every recipe I try gets modified to some degree, but so far every recipe I've tried from Entertain & Celebrate magazines has come out great.
Yes, I know, it's not Easter, but this recipe is so good any time of the year. It makes for a light and tasty treat whenever you want a punch of flavor. I like making mini loaves because they freeze really well and can be defrosted at room temperate, sliced, and taste just as good as the first day.
What goes better with a delicious pound cake than a cup of tea and fresh fruit? More pound cake?
Decorating a table is a fun affair, and flowers are always a must.
Whether for two or a whole house of guests, setting a table can be a lot of fun. I like to mix and match dishes and glasses that didn't come with a set yet still complement each other.
Flowers during the winter months often consist of fresh and silk since we don't have gardens from which to pick an abundance.
Do you enjoy flowers at the table? Are you a fan of pound cake? We hope you find a bit of inspiration in this post, and don't forget to check out the Entertain & Celebrate magazine Easter 2019.
