We do enjoy playing in the kitchen. No matter how long we've been at this, some recipes fail and others are knock-outs. This one is definitely a winner. We modified our banana bread recipe into this scrumptious, soft, and moist apple bread.
This bread has become one of my all-time favorites! It's a sweet treat for breakfast or as an after-dinner dessert. A single slice from a mini-loaf is both satisfying and filling. The bread sets nicely on these pine cone dishes from Bob Timberlake, which are now, unfortunately, discontinued, and the floral autumn napkins by Potterton Hill.
The two images below show what we've done with the apples. We seasoned and baked them to soften them and also give the seasoning a chance to soak into the apples. See recipe instructions below.
