Rustic Halloween Tablescape

The writer in me is quite reclusive, which is why entertaining in my home is a rarity. Having said that, setting a nice table and making an extra effort is great even when there are a few people. It's nice to show your guests that they are special and that you took the time to make their visit memorable. For this table, we mixed in a few everyday items with fun and unique finds.

This table is set up for homemade beef stew and biscuits, which we'll share in another post.

This is a fun and casual setting that works well when trying to create ambiance and a relaxing evening. Our favorite find this year is a set of black ceramic bowls, which took the place of the cast-iron cauldrons we planned to use.

Every table deserves flowers. Arrangements don't have to be expensive or take a lot of time to put together. Late October in Montana means the cutting flowers have been trimmed back and prepped for winter, so we find flowers at local stores and mix in a few silks and twigs.

Do you decorate for the holidays? What is your Halloween style?
